Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included as visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Dojo Danville (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides this mobile and web application to manage gym memberships, class scheduling, and payments. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

The app is built on the StudioDash platform, operated by App Me Developers LLC, which acts as our service provider for hosting, data storage, and payment processing.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect the following types of information:

  • Membership data: your membership tier, enrollment dates, and gym affiliation.
  • Attendance records: class bookings, check-in history, and visit timestamps.
  • Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.

  • Usage data: interactions with the app, used to maintain and improve our services.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the app and your membership.
  • Process payments between you and Dojo Danville.
  • Send transactional messages such as booking confirmations and receipts.
  • Deliver push notifications for class reminders and booking updates.
  • Display class schedules, manage memberships, and track attendance.

DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

Your data is stored using Google Firebase, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS/TLS and at rest. Firebase’s infrastructure is SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliant.

PAYMENT PROCESSING

Payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers or bank account details. All payment data is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy at https://stripe.com/privacy for details.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

  • Firebase (Google): authentication, database, file storage, and hosting.
  • Stripe: payment processing.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

DATA SHARING

Your data is shared only with:

  • Dojo Danville: gym owners and staff can see member profiles, attendance, and membership details.
  • Stripe: payment information necessary to process transactions.
  • Firebase / Google: as our infrastructure provider.

DATA RETENTION

Account data is retained while your account is active. Attendance and membership history is retained for gym record-keeping purposes. If you request account deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your account, export your data, and opt out of marketing communications. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the support options in the app.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The app is not directed at children under 13. Family accounts allow a parent or guardian to manage accounts for minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
